We are all for encouraging people to try new things and to challenge themselves. This year we want you to find something new and go for it! Experiencing accomplishment and reaching new goals is much more fun with a friend. Find someone and set a new challenge… whether it be a 5k, joining a health club, a triathlon, running a marathon or even hiking a mountain you always wanted… try something.

It was the US Womens Triathlon Series.  ToneItUp joined Team Hope to raise awareness and money to conquer Ovarian Cancer!  It was Karena’s 3rd time competing in this race.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers in the United States. Currently, there is no effective means of early detection for the disease. OCRF is dedicated to the formulation of early diagnostic treatment programs and research toward the ultimate conquest of ovarian cancer.  As OCRF strives to find a cure, the organization also seeks to support patients and their loved ones in understanding this disease and its treatment as well as to provide educational outreach programs and public awareness.

Thank you to everyone who helped us and Team Hope!  We will soon start raising money for 2010’s race, so stay tuned!  

For 2010 we are setting our goals on an Ironman 70.3!  We will be documenting our training and experience.
