Sweet Strawberry Ice Cream! ♡

July is National Ice Cream Month and what better way to celebrate than with an ice cold bowl of Sweet Strawberry Ice Cream and a lil booty shakin’!

Recipe below~
We also LOVE this Easy Strawberry Ice-Cream! (vegan friendly)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond or coconut milk
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 5 frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana- sliced and frozen!
  • 1 tsp stevia (or organic sugar)
  • Add 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Blend well!!!  Slowly add splashes of almond milk until all is blended and desired consistency is achieved.

Blend half the ingredients with all of the almond milk.  When blended, add the rest of your ingredients!  Serve as is, or chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Coconut Ice-Cream (vegan friendly :)

  • 1/2 cup vanilla coconut milk
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 banana- sliced and frozen!
  • 3 tbs shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp stevia (or organic sugar)
  • Add 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Blend well!!!  Slowly add splashes of almond milk until all is blended and desired consistency is achieved.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice-Cream

  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond
  • 1 banana- sliced and frozen!
  • 1 tbs organic peanut or almond butter
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp stevia (or organic sugar)
  • Slowly add splashes of almond milk until all is blended and desired consistency is achieved.
  • *** Top with cocao nibs :)

♡Sweet Strawberry Ice Cream ~
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin or vegan Kosher gelatin (makes it rich & creamy)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 cups Sweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 3 large eggs yolks
  • 1 14-ounce can nonfat organic sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavor
  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen chopped strawberries
  • 1 serving Perfect Fit Protein
Get your booty shakin while makin :)
  1. Sprinkle gelatin over water in a small bowl; let stand, stirring once or twice, while you make the base for the ice cream.
  2. Pour 1 1/2 cups milk into a large saucepan.  Add vanilla bean into the milk.
  3. Heat the milk mixture over medium heat until steaming. Whisk egg yolks and condensed milk in a medium bowl. Gradually pour in the hot milk, whisking until blended. Return the mixture to the pan and cook over medium heat, stirring with a wooden spoon, until the back of the spoon is lightly coated, 3 to 5 minutes. Do not bring to a boil or the custard will curdle.
  4. Strain the custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean large bowl. Add the softened gelatin and whisk until melted. Whisk in the remaining 1 1/2 cups milk. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours.
*** If using an ice-cream maker
Freeze the ice cream canister for several hours prior to preparing the ice cream. Pour into ice cream canister and prepare according to your manufacturer’s instructions.

*** If not using an icecream maker

Pour ice-cream base in a bowl.  Place mixture in freezer for 20 minutes.  After mixture has been in the freezer for about 20 minutes, take it out of the freezer and whisk it. If any bits have frozen along the side of the bowl, be sure to whisk them into the rest of the mixture. Do this as quickly as possible and return bowl to the freezer. Repeat this – whisking the mixture every 20 to 30 minutes it’s in the freezer – until the mixture is frozen.  The mixture will eventually freeze enough to be more or less soft-serve ice cream texture. It will cling to a whisk. At this point you may need to switch to a spoon or spatula to stir the ice cream unless you have a very strong whisk.  At this point, the mixture is thick enough to add more strawberries.  Continue freezing and stirring the ice cream – at 20 to 30 minute intervals – until the ice cream is firm and becomes difficult to stir.
