The sunkissed look

There’s 3 more weeks of summer!!!  So, we want you to radiate and glow :)  Are you heading to the beach or Labor Day Parties this weekend?  We asked our friend Roxy to put together this beauty post back in the bikini series (you may remember seeing it in the SELF Magazine Newsletter)

This is perfect to look like you’ve had a beautiful Summer in the Sun :)

“The words that come to my mind when I think of sun-kissed is bright, fresh, warm, playful and less is more….”

“5 Steps to Sun-kissed Radiance”

1. Skin:

Don’t skip the moisturizer even during the heat because it can cause your skin to become dehydrated and breakout. Instead prep skin with a moister-balancing lotion like Intraceuticals “Rejuvenate Hydration Gel to keep unwanted oil at rest while your skin is left supple and hydrated. http://intraceuticals.com/

2. Base:

I love the appearance of breathable skin and Tinted Moisturizer is great for this. Starting from the center of your face apply the product and blend outward. I love Tarte’s “Smooth Operatorbecause it offers great coverage for a beautiful even complexion; it’s oil-free and paraben free but does have an SPF 20 in it to help protect your skin from sun damage.

3. Cheeks:

Sheer, bright colors applied lightly to the apples of the cheeks is an essential element to achieve a fresh and awaked face.  Nars “Multiple Duo” is awesome because it gives you two beautiful shades of its “Multiples” that you can use on your cheeks, eyes and lips for a perfect flush of softly shimmered color in one sleek compact.

4. Eyes:

Keeping your eye makeup light and glowing…
-Try applying a cream shadow like Jouer’s Crème Eyeshadow from the lash line up into the crease and blend out the edges for a soft wash of color that will melt into the skin keeping it looking natural but will make your eyes pop.

-Next blend a creamy waterproof eyeliner like Smashbox’s “Limitless” Eyeliner at the base of your top lashes and lightly under your lower lashes. Be sure to blend it so there are no harsh lines. This will help to give off the appearance of thicker lashes while giving your eye’s more definition to stand out.

-Finish the look with some drama by swiping a voluminzing and lengthening mascara like “Dior Show” into the top lashes and lightly on the lower lashes.

5. Lips:

Protecting your lips from the sun is just as important as wearing sunscreen on your face. I love MAC’s “Tinted Lip Conditioner” because it gives your lips an SPF of 15 while keeping them hydrated with a sheer a wash of color.
